In 2023, a new Whistleblower Protection Act was introduced in the Czech Republic, providing whistleblowers with protection against retaliation by their employers.

This animated collage story was part of a communication campaign by the anti-corruption NGO Transparency International, highlighting the importance of the Whistleblower Protection Act. It tells the story of an employee experiencing a violation of the law in practice and illustrates whom a potential whistleblower can turn to for help.

The aim of this video was to present an example of a legal violation in the workplace, demonstrating how such issues can affect not only employees but also society and the environment as a whole. This helps the audience understand the importance of protecting whistleblowers.

At the beginning of the creation process, the Transparency International team developed an initial concept and prepared the script. My role was to design and execute the visual style of the project, bringing it to life as an animated collage video.

After finalizing the script and the overall visual concept, I created a storyboard, prepared collage materials, and mixed the appropriate music and sound effects. Once all the steps were approved, I synchronized the audio with the visuals and animated the materials.

Transparency International has been working on whistleblower protection for many years. On the one-year anniversary of the introduction of the law, the organization convened an expert roundtable to share feedback on the legislation and its first year of implementation, as well as to discuss priorities for whistleblower protection in the years to come.
